This page explains which cookies and similar technologies the site uses and how you can manage them. The data controller is Umami Group S.r.l. (VAT no. 03541490540, Via Los Angeles 145, fraz. Santa Maria degli Angeli, 06081 Assisi (PG), Italy, info@umamibeer.it). For other processing see the Privacy notice.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser and reads back on later visits. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (“localStorage” and “sessionStorage”), serve the same purpose and follow the same rules. First-party cookies belong to the site you are visiting, third-party cookies to other sites.
2. Technical cookies (always on)
They are needed for the site to work or to provide a service you asked for, and by law do not require consent. The site does not use profiling or advertising cookies, and visit statistics are collected without cookies (see section 3).
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| umami_beer_session | cookie | keeps your browsing session (e.g. being signed in to the customer area) | 2 hours |
| XSRF-TOKEN | cookie | protects forms against forged requests (security) | 2 hours |
| remember_cliente_… | cookie | keeps you signed in only if you tick “Remember me” when signing in | until you sign out, at most 400 days |
| cookiesAccepted | localStorage | remembers your choice on the cookie banner | until you change it or clear site data |
| umami_cart | localStorage | keeps your online order cart | until the order is sent or the cart emptied |
| umami_ad_dismissed_…, umami_announcement_dismissed_… | localStorage | does not show again notices and promotions you closed | until you clear site data |
| darkMode | localStorage | remembers the light or dark theme | until you clear site data |
| umami_maggiorenne | sessionStorage | remembers that you confirmed being 18 or over to view the drinks menu | until the tab is closed |
3. Visit statistics
We count visits with an in-house system that uses no cookies, does not store IP addresses and shares no data with third parties (details in the Privacy notice, section 2.2). We do not use Google Analytics or other third-party analytics.
4. Third-party content
- Google Maps interactive map: in “Where we are” you immediately see a static map image (OpenStreetMap), hosted on our site and cookie-free. Google’s interactive map, which may set Google cookies including for profiling, loads only if you accept cookies on the banner or tap “Interactive map”. Google’s policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Instagram photos and Google reviews: gallery photos come from Instagram (Meta) servers and review authors’ photos from Google servers. They set no cookies, but your browser shares your IP address with those servers to download them.
- External links (Facebook, Instagram, Google, TheFork…): lead to third-party sites with their own cookie rules.
5. Managing your choices
On your first visit the banner asks whether to accept third-party content: with “Decline” only technical cookies remain. You can change your mind at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge); if you block technical cookies, however, some features (sign-in, orders) may not work.
